Hydroseeding uses an agitated mixture of water, seed and mulch to spray a mixture over a disturbed area. Hydroseeding can be used to cover bare dirt or overseed an area that might have thin growth. Usually, the mulch that is used to hydroseed will have a tackifier in it that binds the ingredients to the ground, immediately reducing the erosion control impact of an area.
As a cheaper alternative to sod, but with similar results, hydroseeding is a perfect way to achieve lush results without breaking the bank.
